This old gem makes up the return leg on the Quirk Creek - Wildhorse Loop [page 91 of Backcountry Biking in the Canadian Rockies, 2nd ed.]. A mix of singletrack, doubletrack, 4x4 trail and horse track, this is backcountry riding. It's not well signed, so bring your navigational skills, water, food, etc.
The SE end connects with the Quirk Creek trail, but the NW end terminates at the Elbow River. The flood of 2014 has made it a bit of a gong show, but ford the Elbow and head NNE back toward Cobble Flats.
This trail is not maintained. Expect the unexpected.
