The trail was a double road, but has been over grown so it's mostly singletrack now. Some of the trail from the top of Yellow pine trail and Rio Escandido trail is rocky and steep. After climbing that section you are rewarded with some awesome views.

The map at the trailhead says this is part of the Bonneville Shoreline trail.

      Trail snow covered at top, north side of trail. Unable to navigate around snow covered area on MTB. Hikers also turned back, due to trail conditions.
