Wide engineered trail. Provides some great views of the north end of Park City and cool views of the ski jump from the top. For 2017 this section of trail has been officially named and made into a climbing only trail. The switchbacks are kind of tight but sweep and have nice berms.

Note: the uppermost section of the trail is very exposed. On windy days, it feels like you're going to be blown off the mountain. The top switchbacks are also much more tight and challenging than the lower part of the trail.

Worth noting that the gate to the UOP closes usually around 8pm! You can park outside the gate and pedal in, but if you're doing an afterwork pedal - don't get locked in!

As a climb this trail is pretty steep and tiring. Requires good fitness and decently pedal-able bike otherwise you'll be hurting. Higher up the trail get's rockier with lots of switchbacks. I rode it last June 2017 and there were no signs indicating it was uphill only, and there were many people going down. Nice views.

Mountain Trails Foundation told me it was going to become uphill only. I'll double check it.

Any update on whether this is bi-directional or uphill only? I’ve seen folks go both ways but had a rider yell at me a few weeks ago for going down.

Still closed as of 6/15/19. Trailhead blocked by rope.
