IMBC’s mission is to grow the mountain bike community in the wider region of Ioannina and enhance trail access through advocacy and volunteering.

The Ioannina Mountain Bike Coalition (IMBC) is a federal non-profit organization that works with the municipality of Ioannina, Tzoumerka and Zagori, in order to gain and maintain access to mountain biking trails. The main mission of IMBC is to maintain legal trails as well as the construction of legal trails through private business sponsorship, municipality grants, public funding and volunteering. Youth involvement lies in the core of the future of mountain biking; therefore, the group heavily invests time in organizing events for kids in outdoor recreation areas near Ioannina. Organizing local trail rides, enduro and DH local races as well skills clinics are some of the actions that the club takes to grow the culture of mountain biking and outdoor recreation in the wider region of Ioannina.
