The Ware River Watershed Advisory Committee (WRWAC) has a Trails Subcommittee comprised of representatives from Barre, Hubbardston, Oakham, and Rutland town open space committees as well as local hiking, mountain biking, snowmobiling, and historical organizations/interests. All Trails Subcommittee business is surfaced in WRWAC public meetings for discussion with WRWAC members and the DCR-DWSP (Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation - Division of Water Supply Protection), who is the land manager and ultimately makes all decisions as to what happens on the property.
