Hardwood Ski and Bike is a four-season outdoor recreation and trail facility in Oro-Medonte, Ontario, just north of Barrie. Established as a Nordic ski destination and now renowned for its extensive mountain-bike trail network, Hardwood provides opportunities for mountain biking, cross-country skiing, fat biking, snowshoeing and other outdoor activities.
The organization operates and maintains a large network of purpose-built trails through a predominantly forested landscape, offering terrain for recreational users, families, developing riders and experienced athletes. Hardwood is also an important training and competition venue, having hosted major events including mountain-bike competition during the 2015 Pan American Games.
In addition to its trail network, Hardwood provides a full range of visitor services, including equipment rentals, a bike shop and repair services, instruction, clinics, organized programs, food service and visitor facilities.
