Incredible trails and phenomenal guides. We rode two days with Haku, Xavier was our guide. The trails around Cusco and the Sacred Valley are amazing - fun and challenging, with stunning scenery. There's something for everyone, including some of the best urban downhill ever!
Awesome!
I'm an avid/advanced rider from near Vancouver, Canada. We just finished a 1week trip with 5 days of riding (including a "bonus" day). I have absolutely loved this experience!
Haku Bill has been attentive, responsive, and accommodating through every stage! It would be virtually impossible to acquire and coordinate all the rentals, transport, times, and especially local trail navigation without a local to depend on ...not to mention the Machu Picchu/Huayna Picchu add-on tickets (HIGHLY recommended).
Our wonderful guide Wilhen was knowledgeable (about more than just biking), thoughtful (eg. to choose appropriate rides), safety-conscious, and fun!
Our rentals (Kona Process 153) were well-maintained, and our guides were ready with bacon strips and electric pump in hand for quick flat repairs--the terrain is rocky and somewhat unforgiving--a great challenge, and great fun!
Virtually every ride includes many stunning views! Some trails involve a bit of road riding to link trail sections; this is natural tech land, don't come here looking for finely groomed jump lines etc. There's a fair bit of driving involved, although the down time is great for recovery.
Included lunches were very generous, at local restaurants for a great taste of Peruvian food (which is excellent by the way).
The cultural experience and unbelievable scenes of being in so many the remote Andean locations is incredible!
Just do it.

I cannot recommend Haku enough. To be completely honest, we went into this Peru trip with low expectations. Usually when we book a "mountain biking" guide in another country, it ends up being on some lame dirt roads that they just throw some tourists down and call it "mountain biking". Not Haku! This is true mountain biking! Some of the most unique single track riding we have done - from literal Inca stairs that you ride down, urban DH, and way more little hip jumps and gap jumps than we expected (all optional of course). They tailor the riding to the riders and they ensure everyone has fun despite skill levels. My husband is a great rider and can do all the gap jumps and steep stuff. I'm no where near as good and our guides, Alejo and Yannick, found trails that both challenged my husband and allowed me to still have fun riding around the big stuff. And when my husband blew a tire halfway down a run, Yannick let him ride his bike down while Yannick literally ran the rest of the way carrying my husband's bike so that my husband didnt miss out on the trail. And Bill (the owner) was able to provide a rental wheel or the rest of the day. They were super attentive and even let us store our bikes at their shop for an entire week before while we were on a trek. So accommodating and just fun to chat with them all! Bill also totally tailored 4 single day trips from Cusco for us since we didnt have time for a 5+ day trip through the Sacred Valley. Though I highly recommend you book a longer trip with them - there was still so much riding we could have done on one of those longer trips! We learned so much about Peruvian culture through them, too!
We, a family of five, booked the Inca Legends ride in Cusco, Peru (described as 56k). We arrived at the office and they had full face, normal helmets, gloves, elbow and knee armour available to us. With two guides we made our way to the top of a local hill at 4100m. The ride took us down gravel roads through open valleys and tighter canyons. We stopped at a rustic local family spot for lunch. We had quinoa soup and fried egg, rice and a cubed salad. The owner was a lovely lady that sent us off with hugs. Our route was compromised due to construction so an alternative route into city of Cusco was offered. The only thing I’d say is get a good description of the ride. As we rode the second half of the day we were in an asphalt road with crazy traffic, undesirable scenery and dogs chasing us. At one point my wife got nipped at. (Veteran cyclist she gave the dog a face full of ASICS). This isn’t a complaint, I just advise communicate your needs and know what’s coming. Thanks guys we all had fun and a lot of memorable experiences. Happy Trails.
We used Haku Expeditions for a single day of mountain bike/gravel riding after two weeks of trekking in Peru. Neither my husband nor I are experienced mountain cyclists. Our guide, Wilhen, was excellent and was able to tailor a ride according to our wishes and abilities. I wanted to get a little training in, so we biked uphill at 12,000 feet. He also took me on the back roads, on Inca trails, into Cusco. Haku Expeditions also recommended and booked a really cool hotel for us.
