Home Grown Mountain Biking Tours LLC is an organization that exists because of the world class mountain biking trails right outside our door. When you think of Arizona riding, Sedona or Flagstaff usually come to mind. But Tucson is a hidden gem in the Sonoran desert as good if not better than those more well-known destinations. But don’ t take our word for it! Let us show you. In addition to hundreds of miles of wonderful desert single track, there’s this giant mountain that juts out of the city, rises to almost 10,000 feet elevation, and is home to some of the best backcountry trails anywhere. With 284 days per year of sun, Tucson is a reliable choice for vacation and excellent riding conditions. While the rest of the country is under snow and cold weather, Tucson boasts an average temperature of 71 degrees in November!
Home Grown is made up of a few people who have dedicated their lives to the sport of mountain biking. Home Grown owners also co-founded a non-profit advocacy organization called TORCA-Tucson Off Road Cyclists & Activists in 2012 out of a desperate need to maintain trails and bring the mountain biking community together. Over 3000 volunteer hours have been accumulated in just a few short years of existence, and TORCA has made a name for itself as the “worker bees” in the maintenance of local trails. If we’re not doing trail work or taking people out on epic mountain bike adventures, we’re traveling to races and checking out other destinations to ride our bikes. Having traveled to Whistler, Retallack BC, Moab, Angel Fire, Colorado, Idaho, and other notorious mountain bike destinations, we are always thrilled to come back to our home trails.
We keep our finger on the pulse of mountain biking, and the result is passion for quality equipment and top of the line carbon rental bikes, guides dedicated to your safety and enjoyment, customized tours to meet your riding ability, and an experience you won’t soon forget! Home Grown is excited every time we have the opportunity to show someone from out of town our wonderful trail systems. We are “home grown” and can’t wait to show you the endless possibilities that exist for you and your bike!
