Kēmu O Rua Haurua Grand Opening
Trail Day Details:

Join us on Sunday 24th July for the opening of the "Kiwi Cres Descent". We have an official name - kēmu o rua haurua which translates to Game of Two Halves.
kēmu o rua haurua is hand built tight, narrow twisty up top and big bermed and wide down below. We'll gather at the top of the trail off Turbine Road for ribbon cutting at 12:30pm. There are multiple ways to get here, give yourself a bit of time to pedal up Te Ngahere O Tawa shared trail. Or from Spicer Botanical Park, head up via Te Ara Tai Tonga and along Victory Link then Turbine Road to find us. Parking on Kiwi Cres is very limited, alternative parking is at Lynhurst Park, see map for riding directions between.
We'll have a BBQ for all at 1pm at the bottom (56A Kiwi Cres) Kindly supplied by Toyota and sponsored by Aquaheat.
Huge thank you to our other sponsors - PNP MTB Club, Porirua Grand Traverse, Trails Wellington, Meridian Power up and public donations for cash. Plus kind donations of resources and material from Ultibend. Plants from Friends of Tawa Bush Reserves. Fantastic landowner's Wellington City Council for support, surfacing material, boardwalks and more. Not to forget all those of you who volunteered your time and labour for the last year's dig days each week.
