Parking and trailhead access halfway up the AF side of the Alpine Loop. Drinking fountain and restrooms here are seasonal, don't expect them to be open early Spring or late Fall.
This is a very big parking lot and is the preferred place to park for most riding in AF Canyon. That said, this lot still can fill up on weekends with hikers going to the summit, and big camping groups. Still most likely place to find a parking spot versus anywhere else.
