At the end of the jeep road, however, the trail disappears altogether, requiring you to navigate by following your blue dot on the TrailForks app. Several washes mimic a trail so it is easy to take a false route. The last third of Eagle's Nest and the first quarter of Eagle's Nest Out have virtually no path to follow requiring lots of hike-a-bike. | Unknown | view | |||

The loose material near the forest service road crossings - pretty dangerous how loose the gravel and rocks are in those spots) and 2. Overgrown vegetation in a couple of places made the edges of the trail dangerous. Medium sized boulders are easily hidden under the overgrowth and could cause major situations. Trail is AWESOME though - 2000 foot climb in four miles was a GREAT exercise and the quick and robust downhill was exciting. The switchbacks at very top get really tricky! While hiking, and managing the more technical spots significant trail clearing was done as well - I moved rocks, large branches, etc... | Ideal | view | |||
