 You're talking about Drop-Off Trail and yes it is rocky and steep. It's marked as Double Black Diamond for Mountain Bikers and T2 Mountain Hiking on the SAC Hiking Scale -- T2 Mountain hiking: A continuous path, generally marked, terrain in sections steep, danger of falling not excluded. Requires a safe step. Trekking shoes recommended...
