Description:
There is an alternative route to bypass the closed suspension bridge.
About 500 meters before the falls on the Roseberry side there is a single track on the RH side. The track descends steeply to the valley floor but is rideable, a small bridge is crossed and then things get interesting. Follow an ancient trail (some pink tape shows the way for a while), numerous switchbacks eventually lead you to a spot about 300 meters past the bridge on the Melba Flats track. This route is around 2-3ks is very indistinct in places and requires lots of carrying bikes over fallen trees etc and very little riding. Takes about an hour.
