Most of the Climber trail (double track opened up by bikers several years ago) has now been left to reforest. This had been coordinated with Forestry DEC in charge of High Flats State Forest. Blowdowns have not been removed. Brush has not been trimmed.

Accèss from the Seven Springs / Clarkson parking lot to the trails near Donovan road have been made accessible via the Horseshoe Trail.

The middle third of the Climber between Lower Mother's and The Grinder is narrowed but open and very rideable. A portion of that mid-third of double track has been replaced by a piece of single track built by bikers in coordination with the DEC.

The lower third of The Climber is still being used as road access for the "camp road". That lower third is no longer formally considered part of the trail system and thus receives no formal trail maintenance.

To the individual who has access to change this Trailforks map - please contact the DEC to be directed onto the local SLMBA High Flats trail coordinator and the map may be corrected.

Communication regarding double track "closure" in coordination with the Forestry had been forwarded on to SLMBA and was communicated via SLMBA's group email likely well before the 2021 riding season.

Forestry has granted SLMBA permission to replace the upper portions of The Climber with adjacent, parallel single track. This has already occurred with the segment between Mini Down and Lower Mother's. If anyone has interest in working to help with that contact our SLMBA president and he can forward you on to High Flats trail coordinator.
