North Fork Big Pine Creek (Lower) Trail Report - Dry - Aug 15, 2022

This trail was super nice and well maintained. It was pretty clearly marked. It was very dry and dusty. Beautiful hike though. Parts of the trail are exposed and you need a hat or sunscreen. A lot of the trail is shaded by trees. Its all the way up the entire time. Some switchbacks but not too difficult. I used trekking poles and was thankful as it can be hard on the knees climbing up that much for so long. The lake water is worth getting in to but very cold! Had lunch at lake 3 and it was a really nice time. Stayed at the campground at the trailhead and it was perfect. Highly recommend.
