Apr 20, 2023 Jack's Branch Loop - North Trail Report

We are on a big road trip and thought this might be a fun stop for a couple days of riding. Unfortunately these trails do not appear to be used very much and are not well maintained. The trails are overgrown, with branches and debris on the trail tread and low branches and small trees encroaching onto the trail corridor. We had to stop frequently to remove branches from the trail and to remove stick that got pulled up into our spokes and drivetrain. We had to duck under low hanging trees and branches. We did do a fair bit of clearing but there is still so much more that needs to be managed. Hopefully these trails will get some love from the forest service or local trail stewards.
