Description:
Great little mountain for a solo or group hike, or to catch the sunset. Difficulty ranges from easy to moderate, depending on the trail(s) and order navigated. The ascents and descents are also easy to moderate, with the Brittle Bush and Crest Trail being the easiest, and the short Huff and Puff trail being the most difficult.
A beginner to intermediate hiker could easily cover every trail in the Silly Mountain park within a 2-3 hour timeframe, covering an estimated 5 miles and combined 1500’ elevation between them all.
There is free parking lot at the west base of the mountain, open from dusk to dawn. There is also a small botanical walk (flat path) that is really nice which identifies all of the local desert plants and trees.
