Description:
Rode up NF7160 on Saturday. Plan was to do lower Suntop/ Fawn ridge, ski 25k vert at Crystal, and walk 18 holes of golf all in one day. Ended up completing it all other than we had to break off the climb to Fawn ridge at the switchback at ~3900 due to snow on the road. The snow was hard crust and easy to walk on and roll bike on, even ride some sections. It was patchy up to 3900, just mostly in shady/ north facing parts of the trail, then sustained after that. There's a huge tree in one section of the road by the big retaining wall that slid from above. Mud/ cookie from the tree basically covering the whole road but was fine to get around. Lower section of Suntop from Fawn ridge down is a little overgrown and has some blowdowns but not terrible.
