Dear Trail Users,
Mosaic Forest Management wishes to advise users of the area shown above that harvesting is planned to begin
during July of 2024. Activities are expected to be underway for approximately four weeks (weather dependent).
These operations will occur on Mosaic private managed forest land and trail closures will occur.
At Mosaic safety is our highest priority. When any activities are taking place our employees and contractors abide
by strict safety rules. We expect the public to abide by our safety rules and respect our worksite by not entering
closed areas. For your SAFETY, please respect all signage and avoid the use of these trails during hours of
operation which are Monday to Friday 5am to 5pm. We ask that you also avoid any industrial traffic.
The following information applies to this area:
• Mosaic is a supporter of the Nanaimo Mountain Bike Club and provides an access agreement for this area to
support mountain biking, recreation and tourism.
• Our Professional foresters, field engineers and planners have designed the area taking into consideration
safety, recreation, wildlife, visual quality, and other values. The harvest area is entirely second growth and
reforestation activities will occur within twelve months of harvest.
