Description:
Top section of trail (first 1.5 mi after the gate you're still riding through remnants of 2020 fire. Trail is loose and sandy, poor drainage now that the trees are gone has led to ruts crossing the trail at the base of the overly drainage berms that are being treated by dirt bikers as jumps. No good lines here... Was simply happy to not pick up a flat.
THAT said - once you get over the 2nd of 3 little climb and approach olmo for road everything changes. Suddenly there are 2 tracks in the road, the corners are only occasionally loose and sandy -it become the bombing run that you hoped for all along. Very fun last 5 miles to the gate at the bottom.
