the top gate was open today but is easily bypass able anyway via a small trail going around it even when it's locked. To avoid the bottom gate being locked (and which isn't as easy to get around unles you want to climb over it) it is possible to make a detour half way down via farm roads leading to the
Aghios Haralambos Monastery.
