Description:
The Swedetown Trails will be closed to skiing and ski testing starting the morning of Friday, March 6, through 7:00 am Saturday, March 7. This will allow us to ensure quality groomed trails for the Great Bear Chase.
The current weather forecast shows a good chance of rain Friday afternoon and evening. This could mean grooming challenges and damage to the course by skiers while it is warm and wet. We want to groom and preserve such that everyone has a good experience on Saturday.
We want to keep Great Bear Chase skiers coming back, as each year the race contributes $20,000 or more to the Swedetown Trails Club for trail improvements and maintenance.
