Jun 30, 2026 Blue Gum Trail Report

There is much debris along the full length of the trail since it's only been open for a couple of months and hasn't been ridden much. There's one 6" tree across the trail. Over the last years, the trail has been rerouted so that no bridges are needed - I'll miss those log/plank bridges. There are several minor stream crossings that need drain rock protection against erosion. Needs some TLC.
NOTE: I read the trail was open (May 4, 2026) although, at the top end, there is still a closure sign and many branches visually discouraging entry.
