Kootenai Point Trail Trail Report - Dry - Jul 13, 2026

7/11 - Rode up Snow Creek/Kootenai Ridge Rd to the intersection with the trail thinking I'd be able to ride up the trail from there to the high point, but due to the windstorm that another reporter mentioned there is salvage logging going on that has completely destroyed the trail above the upper-most Kootenai Ridge Rd intersection. At least a couple miles of trail affected/destroyed, mostly above the intersection along the ridge. Didn't end up making it more than about a quarter mile up from the intersection, so I can't speak to the condition on the upper section. Lower section was decent, lots of trail debris and some overgrowth but that's to be expected this time of year on a trail like this.
