And just like that, it’s back to the same unusable state it was in 2 years ago.
Three months ago at least they had 2 miles of this trail back open and was a ton of fun again. Going straight across the creek at the bridge and starting there. Once you got back to the creek on the other side, it was difficult to navigate thanks to the new trail the county is putting in… but it was still possible to find the trail for those of us that have been riding this for years. Now, crossing the bridge and climbing up to drop in the trail, you’re met with tree after tree after tree blocking the trail. Not to mention the county has since “blocked” off the access road to get to the trail.
It’s a shame… this is the only “maintained” trail on the north side of Forsyth for those of us in rural hall, germanton, walnut cove and stanleyville. Don’t waste your time in
On this one currently. Not until the county gets done with what ever they are doing and we’re able to get back in there and redo the trail system.
