Description:
I rode the trail into the wilderness area all the way to entiat meadows, 12 miiles in. Did not see a single person after Myrtle lake at 3.5 miles. Trail is in good conditiion with no blowdowns up to myrtle lake. Maintnence crew workign on trail when I was there, including bobcat that in some case is breaking up single track, resulting in sandy trail conditions. A few 3 or 4 trees down for next 5 miles or so, then significant blowdown thereafter (not cleared since fires several years ago. Fires eliminated lots of shade so cautiion on hot sunny days. Safe to go into wilderness as backpackers are avoiding. Good hike/bike option to Myrtyle lake, Cow creak meadows, or Larch lakes.
