This Bigfoot Adventure Challenge route is on Whiskeytown National Recreation Area managed trails along Brandy Creek. The rider can expect an extensive gravel road and single track trail first half climb followed by blue level old school Rich Gulch (Chimney) flow trail second half start and challenging, rocky Brandy Creek Trail (Ice Box) finish. Here are some basic turn by turn instructions:
1. Brandy Creek Road - head up the Brandy Creek Road, stay on this road until it ends at the Brandy Creek Falls Trail.
2. Brandy Creek Falls Trail - up this steep trail until it descends to the falls.
3. Rich Gulch Trail - left on the Rich Gulch (Chimney) trail and take this all the way back to the Brandy Creek Road.
4. Middle Ice Box (Brandy Creek Trail) - right on the Brandy Creek Road and just after the road to Sheeps Camp and Shasta Bally, take a left on the Brandy Creek Trail, lot of MTBers know this as Middle Ice Box.
5. Lower Ice Box (Brandy Creek Trail) - the middle ice box trail will pop up and back to the Brandy Creek Road, take this down until a small parking lot and the continuation of the Brandy Creek Trail (Lower Ice Box). Stay on this main trail all the way back to JFK Drive and your start.
