Ripple was built in the summer of 2018 by the Pend Oreille Pedalers, making it the newest trail in Sherwood Forest. It is a machine built trail with nice swooping berms at every switchback, offering a great descent for beginners or kids and a super gentle climb for all riders who enter from Dover via Cardiac Bypass or find themselves at the bottom of East Side Trail or Rock Steps. If you've come down Pajama Party from the top, take a hard right and climb for a few hundred yards up Cardiac Bypass to regain Ripple for an easy climb to the top.

Halfway down ripple there is a left turn (going downhill) with a spur trail heading off to the right; this will take you to the top of Rock Steps after a steep climb. Don't take this unless you're interested in challenging yourself on one of the three expert lines on Rock Steps.

There is also a connector trail that ties into Ripple from Pajama Party to the east. You'll hardly notice this going downhill on Ripple, but if you're climbing Ripple and you see this going off to the right, don't be tempted to take it. Despite the nice descent from Ripple right off the bat, this connector quickly turns to a ridiculously steep grade as it ascends the slope back to Pajama Party, and should really only be ridden from Pajama Party to Ripple then onto Rock Steps.
