A fun rip downhill from Mount Spokane's peak. The upper section down to the trail head, Saddle Junction, is rough and rugged. As you head down from Saddle Junction the trail smooths out a bit until you reach the next trail head, Smith Gap, below there prepare for a rough and rooty section through the trees that finally lands you out by Bear Creek Lodge.

Best Mtb trails close to spokane if you ask me! Park a car at the bottom and at the top and take atleast 2 runs down, sooo worth the time to get out there!

A fantastic trail all around, but the section from the top of Kit Carson down to Smith Gap is an absolute hoot. The upper and lower sections are a bit more technical, but not too bad. Yes, they probably warrant a "black" rating, but advanced intermediate riders should handle them fine.
