A fun rip downhill from Mount Spokane's peak. The upper section down to the trail head, Saddle Junction, is rough and rugged. As you head down from Saddle Junction the trail smooths out a bit and picks up speed until you reach the next trail head, Smith Gap, below there prepare for "Jedi Trees" a rough and rooty section through the trees that finally lands you out by Bear Creek Lodge.

Rode 140 from very top to very bottom on 6/21/2020. There's a few patches of mud and snow in the shady areas up top near the top of the ski area....

Best Mtb trails close to spokane if you ask me! Park a car at the bottom and at the top and take atleast 2 runs down, sooo worth the time to get out there!

A fantastic trail all around, but the section from the top of Kit Carson down to Smith Gap is an absolute hoot. The upper and lower sections are a bit more technical, but not too bad. Yes, they probably warrant a "black" rating, but advanced intermediate riders should handle them fine.

Might be my favorite trail I've ridden! It's gorgeous up at the top, with more technical rock gardens, which open up into a super flowy section. The trail then smooths out and speeds up, then gets really steep at the bottom, with a lot of braking ruts, and some tight sections through the trees. Super fun trail all along with some good variety!

Great trail with hero dirt. There‚Äôs a tree down across the trail after the first road crossing down a bit.
