Description

Open trails are a gift, and not always a guarantee. Access is only made possible by the hard, often thankless work of grassroots organizations across the country. That’s why we’re partnering with Toyota this October to celebrate and support the critical groups who make your local trails possible.

Increase support for your favorite trail associations by utilizing Trail Karma—our giveback platform that connects Trailforks users directly to the local grassroots organizations who protect and maintain North America’s trails.

The more you give, the more Trail Karma entries you earn to win incredible prizes. We’ll also display a special Trail Karma badge beside your username, and list your name on our active donors list, where we live-track your giveback.
Every donation made helps keep trails rideable, runnable, and hikeable—and now, every dollar and recorded ride also brings you closer to winning!

How Does It Work?

- Here’s how it works:
- Donate to Enter: Every donation of $5 or more made through Trail Karma during the campaign earns you one (1) entry into the prize pool. - Earn a badge for your initial donation.
- Boost Your Odds: Donations of $20 or more will count as 5 entries.
- Daily Ride Multiplier: Record an activity in the Trailforks app on the same day you donate and earn bonus entries (1 per day, max 10).

Eligibility & Conditions


- Only donations made via the Trail Karma platform between October 1 and October 31 are eligible.
- Participants must be residents of the US to be eligible for prizing.
- Prize winners will be selected at random from the pool of qualified entries.
- No purchase or donation necessary to participate — see full contest rules for free entry methods.
- By clicking [“donate”] you are agreeing to contribute funds in support of the applicable trail association. Outside and Toyota make no representations or warranties on behalf of the trail association you choose to support, or guarantee as to the 501(c)(3) status of any such organization.”

Why Donate
Every dollar donated through Trail Karma goes directly to local trail organizations. Your donated dollars fund maintenance, signage, access improvements, and new trail development. Your support helps create a stronger outdoor community and ensures safe, legal, and sustainable trail access for years to come.
- 100% of your donation goes directly to the trail association (minus PayPal transaction fee).
