Northeast Arkansas Trail Organization directory

NEATO is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers who focus on the advocacy, maintenance and developing of trails for all of northeast Arkansas. NEATO was created as a source for legitimizing a group of passionate trail users in order to seek governmental permissions to develop new trail, raise funding to better our trail systems, offer fellowship with other similar organizations to help neglected trails in other areas, and to be an all-inclusive organization so that people mat have a voice in their public playgrounds. Our current focus is to make northeast Arkansas a "go to" destination for trail users by improving trails at Craighead Forest Park, developing new trails at Lake Bono and Lake Frierson, and pushing for the completion of the Jonesboro Greenway. These developments could provide and interconnection of varying trail surfaces that would total more than 70 miles in NEA, while allowing the trail user to explore different areas of Jonesboro taking advantage of historic downtown and the rolling hills of Crowley's Ridge in Craighead county.
