Free cycles is a non-profit community bike shop where anyone can come in to use bike stands, tools, and recycled parts to work on their bicycle. We teach people the skills necessary rather than do it for them. There is a constant fluctuation of staff and volunteers to help teach people how to do repairs which creates a fantastic learning environment. There are many different services offered at Free Cycles and it is a very unique and diverse place.

This place is, hands down, the best example of an effective resource to the cycling community that I have seen. Although they deal mostly in commuting, promoting sustainable transportation, and helping lower-income community members, they also have a ton on random parts and cycling knowledge that could put you back in the saddle and on the trails.
