Pennypack Park Trail Advocates directory

Our goal is to save and preserve the single track trails. To achieve our goal we must continue to unite the trail users while building our relationship with the land managers of the park, the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation (PP&R) and the Friends of Pennypack Park. This will be a continuous effort including maintenance and coordination of volunteer projects involving trail sections, promoted through collaborative partnership between the land managers, PPTA and other trail related groups. The growing trust has resulted in the PPTA being appointed as the “Go to group” by the PP&R’s restoration department for issues concerning the single track trails. By working together, we have come a long way from the plan to close all single track trails by the park’s restoration project in 2012.
