The Big Hill Ski Trail system consists of five loop trails and one spur trail, for a total distance of 13.6 miles/22 kilometers. There's a warming shelter in the meadow, which is especially nice when the winds in the parking lot become too strong. Some trails are groomed for cross country skiing (skate & classic), and there are trails designated specifically for snowshoeing and fat biking. Hundreds of volunteer hours and thousands in club funds are expended each season to groom the XC ski trails. Snowshoers and dog walkers should not use the groomed ski trails, as those activities can damage the tracks that volunteers work hard to establish and maintain.
