SlowRiders revolutionised Mountain Biking in Christchurch by introducing free weekly social rides during the winter of 2014.
SlowRiders has grown to over 2100 members, with 24 TrailBosses (ride leaders) catering for various fitness and skill levels.
SlowRiders' five core event styles—Flatlander's, XC, Trail, All-Mountain, and Sunday—provide beginner, intermediate, and advanced-level social mountain bike rides that lead to our legendary 'Old Ghost Road In A Day!', 'Wairoa Gorge Weekender', and 'Cheesy Sleepover' out-of-town events.
SlowRiders events are focused on social, inclusive, nobody-gets-left-behind experiences where progression is encouraged, and friendships are formed.
