The Boreal Cycling Club, founded in 2023 as a not-for-profit, began when a group of volunteers started maintaining single-track mountain bike trails at the Hersey Lake Conservation Area in Timmins. Their goal was to build a community for cross-country cyclists, as the area lacked a dedicated cycling club. The club now maintains a 10 to 14-kilometre network of trails and offers both group and social rides for cyclists of all skill levels.
Founded with a passion for mountain biking and a commitment to fostering a vibrant cycling community, the Boreal Cycling Club is a not-for-profit organization based in Timmins, Ontario. Our mission is to promote cycling initiatives that benefit not only our members but also the wider community and surrounding municipalities.
