Recreation
What would you do in a forest that stretched as far as the eye can see?
The potential for outdoor recreation in the Keweenaw is as vast as the view—and your imagination.
Within these forests is something for everyone, in every season—motorized, or human-powered.
Help us create your next adventure getaway.

Environment
Few areas in the Midwest and Eastern United States contain such enormous, undeveloped landscapes.
This land has few roads, no subdivisions, abundant wildlife, and is at-risk.
We have the opportunity to protect our native forests, lakes, rivers, and wetlands on a regional scale.
Let's keep the Keweenaw wild.

Land
The Keweenaw is part of the ancestral, traditional, and contemporary lands and waters of the Anishinaabeg. This landscape lies within the ceded-territory homelands established by the Treaty of 1842 where 11 Lake Superior Bands of Ojibwa (Chippewa) retain rights and responsibilities.
