Ticino Sentieri is mandated by the Canton of Ticino (Department of Territory – Office for Slow Mobility) and the four regional tourism organizations to coordinate, manage and promote the official network of mountain bike and hiking trails across the canton.

We contribute to the development and continuous update of the cantonal trail master plans, maintain and distribute official geodata, and ensure consistency in trail inventory, infrastructure records, and signage systems. We monitor trail conditions and quality standards, support inspections of cantonal routes, and oversee that local trails are built, maintained and signed according to cantonal and national guidelines.

In addition, we provide technical advice to public authorities, regions and local partners on trail planning, maintenance, signage, and the coexistence of hiking and MTB routes, while supporting training and knowledge exchange within the trail management community.
