Ive been to this shop quite a few times and thought itd be appropriate to reflect back on my experience there.

To start off ,ATRG is not a MTB oriented shop. Like quite a few shops around this area, they're more road bike themed. I have no quams with this though, as I know the GTA doesnt really have any parks or any notable "legal" trails to ride in the area. There are a couple items around the shop more geared towards MTB, but the shop as a whole is more road.

Another thing id like to review is the staff. The shop is a family run buisness, and ive had nothing but positive experience from my dealings with the guys there. Even if its to get a quote for a repair, or even just a question for some repair im doing back home, the guys there have been friendly and helpful with everything. Ive taken my bike there to get worked on before, and the end result is just as you'd expect from a bike shop. Professional, meticulous, clean work. One notable job ive had was getting my wheel laced. The guy who does the lacing definitely knows a few tricks, that wheel hardly had a warp or hop in it by the end of the season, all thanks to his lacing.

Everything else is pretty standard for bike shops. Price is just as youd expect for a shop. I myself cant say that ive bought much from the shop in the time ive been there, but I pin this on their more generic array of Specialized parts. Thay also have selections of other name brands, like Shimano, but it would be nice to have a couple other brands in the shop for variety sake.

Bottom line is that: although this shop may not be the spot to do some shopping for the upcoming DH season, its somewhere I can definitely find comfort in bringing my bike in for repairs. If it means spending the 65 dollars or so they charge to prep it for the upcoming season, I dont mind doing so. Its all about supporting your local bike shop.

If you are into Steet/Park Trials or Dirt Jumping, AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
They have no clue about the bikes or needs of those types of riders...
