no bull. gets you the best deal they can, shop has a great small town vibe, always a freeriding movie playing and classic tunes playing. kickass shop.

Great vibe in the shop. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. Definatly a small space but filled with bikes. I went in there just to talk about getting a new wheel set and although I didn't walk out with a new one I knew a lot more about what I wanted to buy and what I should stay away from.

Krakatoa is an amazing shop Miguel is a great dude, no bull crap at his shop he gives people great deals and does amazing work on bikes.

They don't have the stock, selection or service of similar shops. Norco and that seems about it. People are nice, but I'd shop elsewhere (Tam Bikes)

Chris no offense but you are all talk.. You are supper slow and have no right to just come and bad talk a place that you have never been. As for section Mig has some of the sickest componentry in the industry Chromag Marzocchi Fox Norco Shimano Enve E13 Straightline and alot more.

OK, this is fair. Granted I haven't been to Krakatoa in 14 months and I wasn't aware that they dealt Turner. You guys could have been more constructive in how you responded though because this is an area for consumers to voice their opinions, and stating my experience is not "ripping on the shop." I can't find a way to edit a review, but I retract the statements made. PS, I said the people are nice so I'm not just bashing the shop

Getting defensive would be defending the point I had made. I retracted it...lol. I retracted statements which I learned were not valid but I still have a right to my opinion and would rather shop elsewhere. It doesn't look good for a shop when all of its customers take the offensive and rip on someone who submits anything less than a five star review. The only reason I am retracting my statements is I believe they are dated and the shop has a greater selection although my opinion of them a year ago is unchanged. The thing you guys clearly don't understand is that good businesses crave feedback both positive and negative to help them improve. If people share the opinion I had of Krakatoa then the shop would lose business. That's why people welcome criticism. That being said it sounds like Krakatoa has addressed some of the issues I had with them since then and I commend them for that. For the record, apologizing is not being defensive sharkmister

the only thing that is f*cked up is that you advertise for another shop in your post and trash our shop. I have plenty of things to say about tam bikes but I don't because I'm not a dick.

Actually if you have constructive feedback for Tam Bikes I'm sure Quoc would welcome it. Consumer reviews are how businesses can see themselves from the outside and learn how to improve. I'm also sure that Tam doesn't have a gang of people ready to rail on someone who doesn't like the shop.

It looks like the Miguel welcomes feedback on his business. Here was his reply on Yelp to a one star review: "Thanks for your candid review , ....we appreciate your comments it will help us .... we will also like to offer to you a friend 10% discount for the inconvinience. Listen from my experience, krapatoa bikes has a good vibe but it gives me the chills that you only carry norco and khs. I owned a norco before I got my demo and I my frame split in two and it was all downhill from there… On that note do you guys have any future plans on getting different brands?? And then I would consider investing in you shop.. If not I will be spending my time at tam bikes. ps you guys are ranked higher than "the village peddler"

Demome, the shop also has now been carrying turner bikes for quite some time. Purchased my DHR there and am very satisfied.
