The shop owner seems very knowledgeable and is reasonably priced. He owns the building he's in, so there isn't any inflation or stupid markup on labor to cover a high overhead. His stock is entry- to intermediate-level, catering to family-oriented riding, but he can order supply whatever suits your fancy, and do it for a fair price.
