We offer mountain bike tours for enthusiasts and adventurous people, who wants to learn about the landscape, history and the culture from this amazing land. Our excursions are made in Quebrada de Humahuaca, The Puna and The Yungas rainforest. We want to share our knowledge and passion for what we do, We want to make your trip an unforgettable experience.
In April 2016 a Friend of mine and me did the Andes Trail with Francisco form jujuyenbici.com.ar – what a unique experience! The trip starts in Tilcara where you meet Francisco and stay in a nice Hotel to get used to the height. You’ll do a trip with some nice trails around Tilcara to get to know the dirt of South America. After that you start to the crossing of the Andes from Tilcara to Calilegua.
The frist day has a lot of climbing in a marvelous landscape until you reach the top at 4100m. From there the first fast and diversified downhill starts till you get to the cabin where you’ll spend the night. Mhhh Francisco is a good cook and prepared a meal with everything we could think of after a day of hard riding!
The riding on the second day is awesome, you start with some climbs and the downhills and the landscape is unique. You will get from the high Andes, which have less vegetation, to the green jungle. Also the trail changes, it gets to a nice and tacky red dirt – one of the funniest terrain I’ve ever ridden!
The third day continues in the jungle with fast and flowy trails, mostly downhill until you reach the river where the trail ends. From there you carry the bike up the hill to a street where a Pick-up is waiting for you.
The whole trip was organized perfectly by Francisco and we enjoyed a lot riding with him! The trail needs good physics, especially for the first two days. The All Mountain / Enduro downhills are demanding but super fun! For me this trip was a once in a lifetime experience and I recommend to any of my friends to go out and ride it!
You can get some impressions of our trip in this video. Enjoy!
