The city already has some great gravel surfaced trails but the woods at Ashton Hill Plantation (also known as Failand Woods or Belmont Hill) is where the Forestry Commission has kindly set aside an area for mountain bikers to dig and look after their own set of more challenging trails that don't require a car to get to.
