The Trilhos da Boa Viagem Association is an association of sport, recreational, cultural, ecological and educational character.
It was idealized by a group of mountain biker friends with the intention of improving the conditions for the practice of the sport, in the rails that we call our own "backyard". In addition to this more provincial focus, it is part of our founding principles to create synergies with different associations similar to ours, with the aim of creating a network of like minded people and knowledge at a national level. For as the old adage says, unity is strength.
Following the IMBA guidelines, and never forgetting the other trail users, we proposed ourselves the following objectives:
• Bring together all practitioners of mountain biking and promote it;
• Promote respect for Nature, preserving it;
• Educating young people;
• Create the necessary conditions for the development and maintenance of trails and associated infrastructure;

Wanted to edit this - just heard these trails aren't actually built by this Associaçao ATBV - sorry for the misunderstanding. Thanks v much to the true trailbuilders!
All the trails are worked for a large community. Some of those dont belong to any group or any local organization. Some of the trails are parts from the old motorbike enduro trails, with some new parts build by local riders....
