The Kootenai Mountain Riders (KMR) is a mountain bike trail advocacy organization and is currently applying to become an International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) chapter. KMR is devoted to promoting the sport of mountain biking, protecting access to trails for riders of all levels and styles, and to maintaining mountain biking opportunities that are environmentally and socially responsible. KMR views mountain biking as a sport that promotes good health, connects individuals to the outdoors and provides a positive economic benefit to the local community.
