Join us for the 2nd annual Jasper in January Fat Bike Race and Summit powered by Frosty’s Fat Bike Race Series. Jasper is our host for the most amazing winter wonderland that you could imagine. We will have 3 cycling events over 3 days with great opportunities to mingle with Frosty staff, Professional riders and the local Fat Bike Experts.
The preliminary schedule goes as follows:
Thursday January 11th, Noon. Lunch meet and greet at the Jasper Brewing Co. At 3:30pm registration for the XC short course race at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge opens. The race begins at 4:30pm on the new and improved course for 2018. Short course race includes a long sleeve Frosty event shirt and finishers medals for the top 3 in each category.
Friday January 12th, we will be doing our 1st annual Ride with the Pros fundraiser group ride. This ride will benefit the Jasper Park Cycling Association. This ride will be about 20k. It will be on the Overlander Trail starting at Bridge #5 at the Maligne Canyon trailhead. Come enjoy a casual group ride with some great scenery. 9 a.m. start time.
The Fat Bike Summit will be from 2 - 5pm at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Following the summit we will gather together for the Endurance race participant (and guest/s) dinner (dinner included with Endurance race entry), don't forget to purchase the A la Carte meal ticket for your guests. Following dinner we will have our endurance race participant meeting, it is required that all participants attend. Registration for the endurance race closes at the participant dinner.
Saturday January 13th, the main event Endurance race starts at 8am with the course closing at 2pm. Awards ceremony will be at 2pm. Each endurance race registration includes a long sleeve Frosty event specific shirt and finishers medals for the top 3 in each category. The top 3 in each category will also receive SWAG from Frosty and/or local sponsors. Cash prizes for the Abominable A (Pro) group.
