2021 Hillside Hustler XC #1
Race Details:

Hey all you Hillside Hustlers, there’s a new Friday night race in town Both June 11th and July 2nd, the Arctic Bike Club will host XC Mountain Bike Races at Hilltop. These races will feature a mix of XC ski trails and the STA singletrack trails and the courses will also provide an optional B line for the more gnarly sections. These two races will have something for everyone, climbs for the mountain goats, technical downhills for the gravity inclined (including an enduro award), and ample spectating locations for family and friends. Bring yourself and your posse for an awesome Friday night of Hillside Hustling!

Each of these two races will include an Enduro Award for the fastest male and female on the most technical downhill segment of the course. The winning prize will be a gift card to the Trek Store of Anchorage. It doesn’t matter which category you are racing, this is for the fastest downhill time of the night on the designated Enduro segment. This will be Strava based, so have your Strava on and upload as soon as you can after the finish.

We are trying a new format for these races this year to make the race more enjoyable for everyone, to alleviate the stress of being lapped or lapping riders, and to encourage more spectating/cheering/heckling. Each wave will get their own start time and window to complete their race before the next race starts.
