The Galbraith Mountain: Community Race Series
An annual winter event. Monthly races are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month November-March. Runners can sign up for the series as a whole or for individual races each month. 2 distances will be offered each month: a “short” 5-10(ish) mile and “long” 12-15(ish) mile course. Over the course of the winter, runners will run/race across many if not the majority of the Galbraith Mountain trails.

Schedule
7:30am: Bib Pick Up and Check In Opens. IF you have a Bib from a previous race BRING IT
8:30am: LONG Race Start
9:00am: SHORT Race Start
1-2:00pm: Lunch Apres and Awards Celebration at the Transition Outpost

Parking
Park in the Samish Way Lot. Hike, Bike, Jog to the start/finish area. We'll have a bike corral, bring your own lock.

Required Gear
Rain/Wind Shell, Emergency Blanket, Cup/Bottle/Bladder

Aid Station
We will have a basic aid station with snacks, water, hydration, bring your own cup/bottle/bladder

Drop Bag
Bring a bag to drop your extra clothes/gear at the start/finish area. We'll have a tent to keep things covered.

Emergency
If you have a emergency on the course, each bib has an emergency contact phone #. We will have sweeps on both the long and short course.

Post Race
Hot Apple Crisp, Coffee, Hot Cocoa and Bonfires at the finish.
Join us at the Twin Sisters for lunch and celebratory beverages.

General Race Info
The Galbraith Mountain: Community Race Series is an annual winter trail running event. Runners can sign up for the series as a whole or for individual races each month. Each race will feature 2 distances: a 5-8 Mile “Short” Race and a 8-15 “Long” Race and a 1-2 mile “Kids” Race. Specific routes will be published 2 weeks in advance of each race and trails will be clearly marked/flagged on race day. Over the course of the winter, runners will run across many, if not the majority, of the Galbraith Mountain trails. Morning races will be followed by hot apple crisp, coffee, bonfires and an optional aprés- party at a different local restaurant each month.
