      Wooded hillside on the western edge of Cardiff, bordering the Vale of Glamorgan. Densely wooded with some steep sections, and two disused quarries the woods contain a variety of 'official' paths, muddy tracks and mountain biking trails made by locals. Frequented by walkers, mtbers, horse riders and locals from Ely and surrounding areas. Paths tend to get quite muddy in winter.
