Apr 11, 2026 @ 8:51am (America/Mazatlan) Apr 11, 2026 | hike Hot and very dry. At the "year-round" waterfall, there was some water flowing down the rock. Just enough room in the pool and water was clear enough for us to cool off. | Very Dry | view
Jan 21, 2025 @ 10:04pm Jan 21, 2025 | mtb Trail entrance past the cabin us washes out. Down from there thr trail can't be followed. This trail is gonner. | Very Dry | view
Nov 9, 2024 @ 8:42am Nov 9, 2024 | mtb | Dry | view
Jan 31, 2024 @ 3:06pm Jan 31, 2024 | mtb Needs serious work. This is an old road bed doubling as a trail. It's a complete fall line and has heavy erosion. Also, the case for the trail leading up to it. THIS SHOULD NOT BE CLASSIFIED AS MTB ONLY. Better to change to multiuser so ORMs can establish a line down the backside. | Dry | view
Jan 28, 2024 @ 6:52pm Jan 28, 2024 | mtb El Gato… (The Cat). Had to stop and check my google translate cause I was sure it meant The Goat! No, not greatest of all times - La Cabra because part of it was a goat track thus very loose and soft but the balance was fun. Totally loved the fact I was on single track and had some fun although sketchy descents The trail had great use of the terrain. Cheers to the local riding association / riders for a great trail for such a dry area. The massive shadows from the vultures circling overhead added to the ambiance! | Dry | view
Jan 28, 2024 @ 6:41pm Jan 28, 2024 | mtb | Dry | view
Jan 28, 2024 @ 8:33am Jan 28, 2024 | mtb Decent trail with some challenges mostly due to trail surface conditions - loose, dry and gravelly climbs, descents and crossing drainages. No signage but fairly easy to follow - a couple spots I had to refer to trail forks to stay on track. Green riders will find it challenging in places. Followed CCwise to El Gato. Good loop! | Dry | view
Jan 14, 2024 @ 12:14pm Jan 14, 2024 | mtb Definitely save yourself a hike a bike. Don’t go down past the Cabin at the top before this trail as it is overgrown and now impossible to see a path. | Dry | view
Jan 3, 2024 @ 6:35am Jan 3, 2024 | mtb Solid green trail with some drops and steep/loose sections in and out of washes. We parked at a spot on the side of the road at the start of the trail. Beginners will probably walk some sections, it’s a blue/green in my opinion. Great trail close to Loreto! | Dry | view
Jan 3, 2024 @ 6:35am Jan 3, 2024 | mtb Loved El Gato. The loose rock and sandy spots definitely make it a challenging and fun ride. Lots of fun techy sections and punchy climbs. We rode it in the direction posted on Trailforks and enjoyed it. | Dry | view
Feb 26, 2023 @ 2:08pm Feb 26, 2023 | mtb The start of the trail has been impacted by storms. Water has washed down the first few hundred metres. Several hundred metres have been eroded away or other places filled with sand. Didn't venture too far down the trail so don't know how much has been impacted. It can still be hiked though. | Dry | view
Feb 26, 2023 @ 2:02pm Feb 26, 2023 | mtb This trail has pretty much been wiped out by storms. All that's left on some of the sections are boulders. It'd take a lot of work to repair or find a new line. It can still be hiked though. | Dry | view
Nov 2, 2022 @ 9:14pm Nov 2, 2022 | mtb Is this really a trail? Impossible to find other than a few vehicle tracks beside the road. No signage. | Dry | view
Oct 6, 2022 @ 10:46am Oct 6, 2022 | mtb Overgrown and unclear | Dry | view
Jan 2, 2022 @ 2:20pm Jan 2, 2022 | mtb I biked the upper loop of El Gato counter clockwise. Its in good shape after the rains. | Unknown | view |
